Randy Kirton- Chairman: Mr. Kirton co-founded Avalon Health Care, Inc. in 1989. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors and the majority shareholder. He drives the company's risk analysis and strategic planning. With more than 20 years of experience, he has the vision and expertise to successfully balance the care and corporate responsibilities of this rapidly growing company. He understands the necessity of individualized, community driven care, and is committed to containing regional growth in order to provide the highest standards of care in the industry.
Mr. Kirton began his career in health care services in 1981 when he identified the need for improved care facilities in his own community. He co-founded Bonneville Health Systems, a nursing home as well as a home health agency. He was President of the company from 1981-1988. In 1988 he expanded the company's scope of services and facilities. With growth came a new name, Heritage Management, Inc., and a wider regional focus. Mr. Kirton was President and CEO of Heritage Management, Inc., and later Avalon Health Care, Inc.
Before working in health care services, Mr. Kirton was President of The Kirton Company, a real estate development company. He was responsible for the development of more than a thousand residential building lots and more than twenty different developments.
Mr. Kirton has been a member of the Community Services Planning Committee, the Gerontology Center Planning Project, and served on the Utah Governor's Task Force on Long-Term Care. He also chaired a subcommittee of the Utah Health Care Association on aging and nursing homes.
