John Mabry

Mr. Mabry was appointed Chief Information & Technology Officer for Avalon Health Care, Inc. in 2011. He is an experienced Healthcare Information Technology executive excelling in effective organizational and process improvement. Mr. Mabry is a natural leader. He contributes a wealth of successful managing, unifying and directing experience to the Avalon team.

Prior to joining Avalon, Mr. Mabry served as Vice President of Product Development and Vice President, Chief Technology Officer for My Inner View. His responsibilities included leading product development, and managing IT. He successfully led creation of Long Term Care Trend Tracker – a product used by over 3,000 nursing homes. From 2000-2005 Mr. Mabry worked for 3M Health Information Systems as IT Leader, Development Leader, and Technology Strategist. During this time he enhanced product and development standards, and led the development group and IT to turnaround critical problem areas.

Mr. Mabry is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (HIMSS). In 2003 he was certified as Green Belt and Design for Six Sigma Champion. Mr. Mabry earned a certificate from the UCLA Executive program, Anderson School of Business. He received his master’s degree from the University of Texas in Public Health (Health Information Systems).
