John Alaux: Mr. Alaux was named Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Avalon Health Care, Inc. in May of 2005. He has more than thirty years of experience in care facility administration and management and has committed his professional life to providing exceptional care to the elderly. Much of his insight and expertise comes directly from working closely with patients and their families.

                Mr. Alaux was President of Berryman Health, Inc. from 1987-2005, where he was responsible for all corporate and administrative decisions. As President he improved service and staffing in five nursing home facilities and two assisted living facilities. Through better training and management practices he was able to cut costs, increase profits and enhance services. In 1999 he also served as Chief Operations Officer at Evergreen Healthcare, Inc., where he developed and implemented a transition plan and management team for 24 long-term care facilities in California.

                Mr. Alaux was Senior Vice President and Assistant to the President at Beverly Enterprises, a provider of nursing home, hospice and rehabilitative services, from 1985-1987. Working in the Western Division, he was responsible for more than 18,000 beds across eight western states. He helped assure the proper assimilation of new facilities, and was responsible for implementing a new quality assurance program. He also helped develop home health services in six skilled nursing facilities. Between 1974 and 1985 he held a variety of administrative positions, where he learned first hand how to best provide excellent care.
