ABOUT US
We are in the business of helping people, and for this reason we place individuals as our first priority. We aim for success by recognizing each person’s worth; creating and maintaining an environment where individuality is promoted and dignity is preserved. We base our ideology and approach to care on the core principles of integrity, respect, excellence, accountability and trust.
California boasts 10 of our great facilities all specializing in different elements of care, including care centers, hospitals and a senior living community. See the graph to the right for details on what the location nearest you specializes in. You will find that we offer the best in specialized care when compared to other California nursing homes.
Our specialized care is focused on the following elements in our California locations.
Skilled Nursing
Our commitment to meeting the individual needs of each patient shines through our variety of services which anticipate and meet the needs of each resident. We recognize the transition from home or hospital to a care facility can be difficult. Our skilled nursing staff works with residents and their families to make sure we get the balance between attention and independence right. Our individual approach to care puts residents and their choices first.
Assisted Living
Some people need help with some of the normal activities of everyday life (bathing, eating, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, medication management, etc.), but want to live as independently as possible. For them, assisted living facilities offer a solution. These facilities are designed to provide needed services that aren’t available in a normal living situation, while allowing them more independence than they would have in a skilled nursing facility. At Avalon, an innovative leader of California nursing homes, we’re here to help our residents live to the full limits of their capabilities, despite the challenges of age.
Memory Care
Memory care is the term for a long-term care option for patients who have been diagnosed with such conditions or have problems with at least two areas of daily living. A memory care environment is home-like and designed for persons with a level of impairment making it unsafe for him or her to continue to stay at home, but who does not require the intensive care of a skilled nursing facility. Memory care allows a person experiencing memory loss to maintain a level of independence while relying on the safety and security of being in a residential facility with a professional staff.
